The resources below can help troubleshoot issues and answer how-to questions that you may have about the Chromebooks. Follow the troubleshooting tips in order to resolve your issue quickly. You can order an additional charger or a replacement charged by visiting Attronica's secure site for Hanover County Public Schools.
First Steps
Because the Chromebook is mainly web-based, the following will resolve most issues that may occur while using web-based tools such as Schoology.
- Clear the browsing cache and relaunch the Chrome browser. If the first step doesn’t resolve the issue, go on to step two.
- Shut down and restart the Chromebook (this will also apply important updates that may resolve the issue). If the second step doesn’t resolve the issue, go on to step three.
- Remove the student profile from the Chromebook and then re-add it.
Next Steps
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, try exploring the following resources that provide more in-depth troubleshooting and how-to tips.
Final Steps
If you continue to have issues with the Chromebook or if it is physically damaged in some way, please do the following:
- Do not try to repair the device yourself or take it somewhere to be repaired.
- Alert one of your student’s teachers. They will arrange for your student to visit the help desk at school where the device will be serviced or replaced.
- Student passwords can be reset by teachers and staff at the school. Online students can submit a support ticket using the HCPS Student Support Portal.
