Dear Families, Faculty, and Staff,
We are excited to invite you to the 47th Festival of the Arts and Sciences, which will be held on
Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hanover High School. Admission is free and food will be available for purchase.
More than 1,500 students will participate in this community event that highlights their accomplishments during the school year and
approximately 1,300 pieces of art will be on display. It will feature
exhibits and live performances in the areas of music, theater, fine arts, and physical education. Individual schools will also showcase exhibits and digital projects will be on display in the library. Additionally, a musical instruments exhibit will allow students to try out different instruments.
As you may know, last April the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation
named Hanover County Public Schools as a “Best Community for Music Education” for the 11th year in a row. We were one of only 19 school divisions in Virginia to achieve the coveted status.
