Dear Families, Faculty, and Staff,
We hope you are well. We are writing to inform you of important updates to the 2024-25 school calendar based upon the recent school closures caused by inclement weather.
As we shared with you on Tuesday, the school calendar includes banked instructional time (meaning a makeup day is not required) should inclement weather lead to the closure of school. The
adopted 2024-25 school calendar includes two banked days and three designated makeup days.
The closures on Monday and Tuesday constituted the banked days and makeup days are required for the other three closure days this week.
Please note the following:
- Monday, January 13 is no longer a student holiday/teacher clerical day. Rather, it will be a full instructional day across the school division. It will be a B day for our middle and high schools.
- Monday, February 17 is no longer a student holiday/professional learning and and parent-teacher conferences. Rather, it will be a full instructional day across the school division. It will be an A day for our middle and high schools.
- Friday, March 21 is no longer a student holiday/professional learning and clerical day for staff. Rather, it will be a full instructional day across the school division. It will be a B day for our middle and high schools.
We also recognize that tomorrow is scheduled to be the end of the first semester. Please know that
we will be making adjustments to the end of the first semester/start of the second semester schedule. Further details will be shared when they become available.
