Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the 2021–2022 school year! I am confident this year will be filled with new and exciting opportunities that will yield exceptional learning, growth, and achievement across our entire school community aligned with the Profile of a Hanover Graduate. This remains the hallmark of our coveted school division and what makes us exceptional. I, along with our remarkable teachers and staff, am committed to each student’s success, both academically and as individuals; we are ever-mindful that we are preparing them for their futures.
As we begin a new school year, please be assured that the school division maintains a commitment to using an equity lens for all decision-making, student and staff achievement, and a safe and secure environment for all who participate in our programs. Hanover County Public Schools’ 2021-22 Code of Student Conduct outlines students’ rights and behavior expectations necessary to succeed in our schools. Communication and cooperation between school and home, coupled with consistent disciplinary policy, provide an appropriate environment for learning and success. To promote a safe and supportive school environment, it is important for students, parents and staff to be familiar with the 2021–22 Code of Student Conduct.
I extend my very best to you and hope your school year is filled with happiness and success! I am grateful for your support and look forward to celebrating our achievements together along the way. You are always invited to partner with us in the exciting and important work of preparing our children for their future.
Sincerely,
Michael Gill
Superintendent of Schools
