Elementary WATCH DOGS Team!
We are excited to begin our second year of the WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads
of Great Students) program at MES. Watch D.O.G.S is the father
involvement initiative of the National Center for Fathering. The
program’s objectives are safety and supporting education. WATCH
DOGS provide an extra set of eyes and ears to watch out for any
potential problems and serve as a positive male role for the entire
Fathers or father figures volunteer for at least one day all day
during the year; hours are 7:40 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. While dads are
volunteering, they will greet students as they arrive, monitor the
lunch room and eat lunch with their student(s), supervise recess
activities, help in classrooms with a teacher’s guidance, and assist
