The speech & language program
within HCPS provides assessment of children referred for
difficulties in articulation, language, voice, fluency, and
hearing. Children are eligible for speech/language services if
they are determined to have a communication disorder which
impacts academic or social development. Speech- language
pathologists provide services as recommended by the IEP
Committee (Individual Education Program). Instruction is
provided in the school setting during the school day.
Some students may display
speech errors which respond to shorter periods of instruction.
Laurel Meadow Elementary offers these students instruction
through a response to intervention program. Please contact
Amanda Riley for more information (email@example.com)
