A Message from the Principal...

At Elmont Elementary School we are committed to working together to provide our students with a quality education utilizing sound educational methods based on effective research practices.  As a team, we provide a stimulating learning atmosphere based on trust and respect with our goal clearly focused on helping each child reach their true potential.  We are fortunate to have the support of our parents and community.  This partnership has allowed us to work in a collaborative manner as we strive to enhance the educational experience for every student.

In the spirit of working as a team, parents and community members are invited to join the School Improvement Committee.  The goal of this committee is to work towards continuous improvement in all school areas. Teams of parents, teachers, administrators, and community members worked jointly to accomplish school-wide improvements at Elmont.   Those interested in participating are encouraged to call the school office.

The administration team and exceptional Elmont staff all believe and embrace our school motto “what you do today will make a difference.”  Together as partners in education we can provide an outstanding educational experience for each child attending Elmont Elementary School.

A Message from the Assistant Principal...

Welcome back to another school year!  Elmont has much to celebrate!  We made remarkable strides this past spring on our SOL assessments and again met AYP accreditation!  Great things are happening here, and we will continue to build on last year’s accomplishments while striving toward greater success.

Our mission is to provide an optimal learning environment, which focuses on the growth and success of every student.  We will continue improving student performance across the curriculum by analyzing data and providing support to students to ensure academic success.

There are new security measures in place this year that will continue to make Elmont a safe atmosphere for learning and working. Mr. Hardy and I are the safety nets for our students and welcome your partnership.  Have a FANTASTIC year!!
