June 14, 2021 Update:

Dear Families,

I hope you had a great weekend. I am writing today to share with you our plans for summer meal service.

Beginning Monday, June 21, we are consolidating meal service to four locations for the summer. Free grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches will be served curbside on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon, for all children 18 years of age and younger on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that children do not need to be present to receive the meals.

The Monday distributions will include meals for that day, Tuesday, and Wednesday, while the Thursday distributions will include meals for that day as well as Friday.

Meals will be distributed at the following locations:

- Beaverdam Elementary School, 15485 Beaverdam School Road, Beaverdam, VA 23015
- John M. Gandy Elementary School, 201 Archie Cannon Drive, Ashland, VA 23005
- Mechanicsville Elementary School, 7425 Mechanicsville Elementary Drive, Mechanicsville, VA 23111
- South Anna Elementary School, 13122 Waltons Tavern Road, Montpelier, VA 23192

The meals provided will be the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. For more information about this program, please contact HCPS Food Services at (804) 365-4566.
